Suntroy-Yamazaki 12Y Whisky 三得利-山崎 12年威士忌
山崎單一純麥威士忌在千年古城及郊區的氣候下釀造出傳奇。酒廠近年在國際比賽中贏得了很高的聲譽，更享有“貴族”之稱。1984年，山崎蒸餾場誕生60周年時所誕生，是日本第一支，也是最具代表性的單一純麥威士忌。來自日本獨有的日本橡木桶(Japanese Oak，水楢)的淡雅，呈現出日本神社的氛圍，口感香氣帶著淡淡伽羅、日本線香的氣息，口感腹郁，迷人的果香與濃郁的麥芽香氣，餘味悠長。2002年時獲得ISC國際酒類競賽金牌獎肯定，是品酒行家難以錯過的佳釀。

2003年以來，日本威士忌便得獎無數，品牌主要來自兩家酒廠SUNTORY及Nikka。SUNTORY旗下的有山崎、白州及響；Nikka旗下則有竹鶴、余市及宮城峽，另外輕井澤則屬於麒麟。
同一集團不同品牌，風格都不一樣，因為各品牌都會選擇不同麥芽，並靠蒸餾廠所在地的水源、蒸餾器形狀及木桶去塑造獨特風格。譬如同屬SUNTORY的山崎及白州，前者位於京都郊外，採用西班牙sherry cask而聞名，帶甜味且香氣渾厚；後者位於海拔700米的國家公園，採泥煤味重的麥芽，用名水蒸餾，喝來有森林氣息。相同的是，日本威士忌較易入喉，酒體乾淨、帶水果香甜，平易近人。
